What is 3D Dermaforce?

A powerful new force in non-surgical, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation and collagen remodelling.  Skin&Spirit are delighted to introduce the brand new 3D Dermaforce; an advanced cutting-edge medically certified laser device combining advanced radio frequency (RF) and microneedling technology, which is targeted deep into the dermis and sub-dermis layers to effectively treat a large number of facial and body concerns, with the most AMAZING results.   

How does it work?  

Fractional radiofrequency microneedling is a minimally invasive technology that involves the use of an array of very fine sterilized needles to create microscopic wounds - with added radiofrequency heat energy causing skin tightening - at various predetermined depths in the dermis, without damaging the epidermis.  It is the latest up-and-coming solution for the ultimate ‘non-surgical face lift’ and is in extremely high demand after the extensive press coverage that the treatment has received throughout the press, with celebrities raving about the treatment. 

3D Dermaforce Microneedling/RF stimulates the body’s natural healing process to encourage collagen production in the dermis resulting in rejuvenated and tightened skin.  During treatment, the radio frequency energy is delivered through the insulated needles allowing precise delivery to the dermis while protecting the epidermis layers of the skin.  The radio frequency wave penetrates the basal melanocyte barrier, heating the collagen fibres in the dermis to 55ºC–65ºC. This stimulates the body’s natural healing process, increasing cell turnover as the body heals – resulting in the production of collagen and elastin in these areas.

The 3D Dermaforce is capable of reaching depths of up to 3.5mm.  Any depth above 2.0mm is considered to be medical grade microneedling.  Therefore, Skin&Spirit offer two services using the 3D Dermaforce: Standard and Medical Grade.

What can the 3D Dermaforce treat? 

This advanced multi-technology face and body device is used for SERIOUS anti-aging and rejuvenation results and all of your skincare concerns, including:

How many treatments should I have and what is the downtime?

The 3D Dermaforce is safe for all skin types, up to and including Fitzpatrick VI, with little risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) which can be found with other resurfacing methods.  The downtime for the Standard treatment is typically 24 hours, with fairly flushed and glowing skin (possibly a little blotchy) being the main very temporary side effect.  You cannot wear make up for 24-48 hours post treatment.  For Medical Grade depths, the erythema (redness) downtime may be around 48-72 hours with more significant blotchy skin, additional dryness and peeling/flaking in the following days. 

Although you will see a definite immediate visible glow and lift straight after the treatment, the main results are seen within 6-8 weeks.  

One treatment will provide excellent results, however, for the very best results, a course of 3-6 treatments may be recommended, taken 4 weeks apart, with maintenance sessions every 6-12 months.  Depending on your presenting concerns and goals, the Medical Grade treatment (depth) may be required.  Alternatively, you may build up from a standard depth (0.5mm-2.00mm) to a medical grade depth (2.5mm-3.5mm) over a course of treatments.

A consultation with one of our 3D Dermaforce certified Therapists or our Registered Nurse is required to rule out any contraindications and determine your treatment goals and ideal plan.  3D Dermaforce may be combined with many other treatments, such as HIFU, Dermalux LED Phototherapy and injectable treatments, however, the correct order and amount of time between treatments will be clarified during your consultation.
