Individual, person-centred counselling session using cognitive behavioural therapeutic and mindfulness approaches. Aim of counselling may be goal oriented and focused on improving coping strategies and overall management of self esteem, confidence, anxiety, mood, anger or body image and associated negative thoughts and behaviours; or we can simply provide you with a safe, private space to talk in confidence. A course of 8 sessions is recommended to work towards a particular goal or objective.

All counselling sessions are provided by an NMC registered mental health nurse (RMN). A consultation including medical and mental health history is required prior to beginning counselling. Risk matters will be explored as part of your consultation. Practitioner notes will be taken during the session to ensure continuity of care, however, all topics discussed during the session are confidential between you and your therapist. All records are kept securely, user access controlled and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
